Try sicher in your browser, no installation needed

The console below runs R directly in your browser with webR. Nothing is sent to a server. The first visit downloads R and the packages, which takes a few seconds; after that, code runs instantly.

The playground installs the latest build of sicher from GitHub, through r-universe.

Try it

Declare a typed variable, then try to assign a value of the wrong type. Press Run Code to see sicher stop it, then edit the code and run it again: try another type such as String or Scalar(Numeric), or change the value.

To use sicher in your own R session, install it with install.packages("sicher"), then head to the Features page for everything it can do.
